Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Fresh, tangy, tart, and just the right amount of sweet –
homemade cranberry sauce is heads and shoulders above the canned stuff. Try it
for yourself and you’ll see too!
Cranberry Sauce
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 – 20 minutes
Total Time: 20 – 25 minutes
Yields: 3 cups sauce
Ingredients:
24oz. fresh cranberries (Produce)
½ cup brown sugar (Aisle 5)
1 tsp. orange zest (Produce)
6 TBSP orange juice (Dairy)
½ tsp. salt (Aisle 5)
1 cinnamon stick, optional (Aisle 5)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pot and stir to combine. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until cranberries have released their juices. Continue cooking until reduced by half, remove from heat and discard cinnamon stick, if using. Serve warm or cold alongside your Thanksgiving favorites!
